Scream the MTV Series S4E5 - "Burn The Past"

EPISODE FIVE

“Burn The Past”

“What do you mean my father is living with you, Brooke?” Emma stands in the hallway at school, she’s standing at her locker, with her back to it as Brooke had approached her. She seems angry at Brooke about this.

“Believe me Em, I had no part in this. You don’t think I WANT your father in my life, do you?” Emma’s tense shoulders loosen and she closes her eyes and lets out a sigh, letting go of her anger at Brooke.

Emma nods, understanding that Brooke hadn’t chosen for her mother to date Emma’s father. “Did she not know that he was my father? Connect dots or anything?” Emma questions, knowing that Brooke’s mother went to rehab after they had become friends, so Monica definitely knows Emma.

“Nope. She doesn’t even know we’re friends. I tried to talk to her in private about it but she swears she’s never even heard of you. I knew that the past few years have been a blur for her and the drugs really messed her up but…” Brooke indicates that her mother may know a little more than she lets on.

“You think that she knows?” Emma asks, seeing if she’s picking up what she thinks Brooke is implying. Brooke nods, verifying that she thinks her mom knew that Kevin is Emma’s father. “Listen to this though.” Emma’s tone changes into a whisper as she basically pulls Brooke into her locker. “Today, after school, Andrew, Noah and I are all going to this doctor’s house. Dr. Douglas. He’s the doctor that was supposed to be tending to Audrey when the killer broke in. He wasn’t at the hospital yesterday, but after some research, we found out that he supposedly checked in, as if he were working.”

Brooke pinches her lips together, then bites her lower lip before speaking. “You think that.. If he were there, Audrey would still be alive?” Emma shrugs when Brooke asks the question.

“Or he was there. Under a mask.” Emma’s eyes widen and eyebrows raise, surprised Brooke didn’t understand what she was getting at, but when Emma says it, Brooke’s jaw drops and her own eyes widen.

“You think some random Doc is behind this? What would be his motive?” Brooke questions Emma after hearing who she thinks the killer is.

“Well, that’s what we’re going to his house tonight for. We found his work hours. His ID was left at the scene of the crime.” Emma reaches into her locker and pulls out the ID from under a few books. She hands the ID to Brooke. Brooke scans the ID with a focused look on her face.

“Wait, I know this guy…” Emma’s face gets a puzzled look when Brooke says that she knows Dr. Douglas. “Yeah, yeah, yeah! It’s coming back to me. He’s the doctor that my parents would always request, for whatever reason. I didn’t really care, but yeah. He’s a total nutcase.” Brooke continues, “Always kept to himself, reserved, you know? He was weird. He seemed nice, though. I don’t think he could have-” Emma shrugs before Brooke finishes her sentence.

“Did you think Kieran could have? What about Piper? I didn’t. Anyone is a suspect Brooke. This is the first one to come up. We’ve got to explore it.” Brooke nods agreeing.

“Can I bring a friend?” Brooke asks, agreeing to go with Emma tonight. Emma is confused, still thinking that Stavo is missing. Other than that, she and Noah are the only people that Brooke still talk to, the once very social girl that she was, is gone, all at the hands of Kieran and Piper. The new Brooke Maddox has grown shy and timid. She hasn’t even partied in months. Emma nods, allowing her to bring her ‘friend.’

A car pulls up to an older style house, the house looks to be in falling apart. Rotting wood for the walls and falling shingles for the roof Once the car comes to a halt, Andrew Wizworth steps out of the driver’s seat and Emma steps out of the passenger seat. That follows by Brooke, Larius and Noah all three stepping out of the backseat. “This the place?” Noah asks hastily, obviously still worried and overthinking about where they are. “It’s what it says on the ID…” Emma hesitates, looking up at the seemingly abandoned house. She looks around as she takes a few steps towards the house. “I mean… At least it looks like nobody’s inside..” Emma says, looking at the abandoned house on an optimistic point of view.

After speaking, Emma begins a full on walking stride towards the house, the rest of the group follows her. They approach the door and she tugs on it. It’s locked. Emma lets out a sigh, but it’s Larius who taps on her shoulder and points upwards at the second floor, showing her there’s a window open on the second floor that could be used as an entrance point.

“I like the way you think, but how are we going to get up there?” Emma asks Larius as he points it out. He shrugs and then without saying anything he walks towards a tiny shed to the right of the house. He tugs on the door of the shed and it opens.

“Someone help me out?” He says, looking back at the group. Brooke follows him, he chuckles when she takes a few steps forward. “I’m thinking more like Andrew. This ladder is thrice your size.” He laughs, shrugging off Brooke. If looks could kill, Brooke would have killed Larius as Andrew walks past her and assists Larius with getting the ladder from the shed. The two head towards the house with the ladder and, together, prop it up against the side, fitting perfectly into the window. “I feel like Jeff Hardy.” Larius laughs as he says it. Brooke gets a confused look on her face.

“You still watch WWE?” Brooke scoffs back at Larius and his eyes dart towards her angrily. “You know it’s fake, right?” She continues mocking him for his Jeff Hardy reference.

“So is your ass, but nobody talks about that.” Larius raises his eyebrows, taking a step closer to Brooke Maddox, almost as if he’s challenging her. She raises her eyebrows and gives a fake laugh about his retort.

“Nope, this is all nat-chur-al.” She raises her eyebrows quickly, almost in a seductive manner. This catches Larius off guard and he shows a long blink with his own eyebrows raised, in shock. While the two are having their back and forth, Emma and Andrew are both already headed up the ladder. She looks up at the two walking up the ladder together and shouts up at them. “Okay lovebirds, if you wanted a little privacy, you could have just told us.” She laughs at them.

Emma, even though usually innocent, retorts back at Brooke’s sassiness. “I could say the same to you two.” She laughs and Brooke’s face grows red out of embarrassment, not anger. Larius covers his mouth to hold back laughter. Brooke’s eyes dart to him and she playfully punches him. After punching him, she starts heading up the ladder too. All three of them reach the top and it’s just Larius and Noah that remain down at the ground.

Larius begins up the ladder, putting one foot on it, but he looks back and notices that Noah is very hesitant to climb the ladder. “What’s the deal, Noah? Afraid of heights or something?” Larius laughs.

“No, no.” Noah says, “I don’t feel comfortable. When we’d break into places, it’d always be someone shady. Branson’s classroom, Troy James abandoned house. This is just some random doctor, ya know? I think Emma’s starting to go off the deep end and I’m afraid she’s going to be attached to the idea that it was Dr. Douglas.”

“Wasn’t his ID left at the scene?” Larius asks Noah for clarification. “I mean think about it, even if it ISN’T him like Emma thinks, it’s got to be a clue. Things like this don’t just happen on accident. The killer wanted you guys to see that ID.”

“That’s exactly the thing, THE KILLER WANTED US TO SEE IT. Am I the only one who sees the problem in going exactly where the killer wants us to go?! It’s horror movie logic 101!” Noah exclaims, making a good point. Right when the words leave his mouth though, his eyes widen, as if he’d realized something. “Wait a minute… How’d you know about the ID being left at the scene?”

Larius stutters over himself “I, uh-” he’s saved by Andrew yelling out the window, down at them though.

“Hey guys, you better get up here, you’re gonna want to see this.” Andrew says, signifying they found something important. Larius raises his eyebrows at Noah, asking him if he’s going to go. Noah lets out a ‘I-don’t-want-to-but-yes’ sigh. Larius nods at Noah and begins heading up the ladder step by step. Noah follows after him.

Once the two both step foot in the room that’d had the window open, they’re instantly ambushed with what Andrew had been talking about through the window. The direct side of the wall is covered in newspaper articles about Brandon James from 1994. Certain things are underlined on the newspapers or highlighted with yellow highlighter. Specific things like every time an article mentions ‘snapped’ or ‘psychopath’ it’s highlighted and yellow, but an assortment of paragraphs are underlined. “Oh… my… God.” Noah says. Larius takes a step closer to check it out from a better eye. Brooke and Emma stand beside each other reading the board of newsprint with their mouths covered and Andrew stands beside Emma with his arm around her, making sure she’s secure.

“What the Hell is going on here?” Andrew asks Noah, knowing that he’s the horror buff of the group, hoping that he can make sense of the situation they’d just found.

Noah puts the face on that he always gets when he begins talking about a situation or what would be going on in a horror movie. “Well, honestly, to me, it looks like Dr. Douglas had been… researching?? Brandon James?? I’ll admit it. I was wrong. I’m an adult. I can admit when I’m wrong. I’m thinking that despite not knowing his motive as of right now, researching Brandon James is a MAJOR red flag.. Like, wait, let me read this underlined paragraph.” Noah begins reading off one of the newspapers on the wall. “The older brother of Brandon, Troy James, noted to our sources that Brandon and ‘Daisy’ often times played hide and seek together and one day Daisy’s boyfriend, who wishes to remain unnamed-” Known now as Kevin Duval “would often grow angry about Brandon and Daisy’s relationship.” Noah pauses before looking at Emma and talking again. “Weren’t you sent on a wild goose chase to find Gina referred to as hide and seek?” Emma nods, clearly scared about the situation. “I think you were right, Emma… I think we’ve found our lead.”

Emma nods, after Noah finishes off talking, Larius begins to wander down the hallway a little bit, everyone looks over at him. “Ew, you guys smell that?” Larius asks getting further down the hallway. He keeps going further, then he turns into a different room. The rest follow him. When the rest hit the room, Larius is standing over a table with a shocked look in his eyes. It looks almost as if what was on the table had froze him on the spot.

Noah walks over, beside Larius and also sees what’s on the table, it’s a bunch of papers. “This… looks like all of the medical papers from Brandon James…” Noah says as the groups heart drops. “Dr. Douglas was the doctor that did the surgery on Brandon James…” He picks up one of the medical papers. “Listen to this…” Noah begins reading off the notes of one of the papers, “B. James’ condition is only external. Very empathetic. No signs of danger or any mental condition.” Noah finishes up the quote. “That was bold and underlined several times-” Noah is cut off by the voice of Larius. “No, seriously guys… Do you smell that?” Larius asks and everyone nods, agreeing that something smells weird. He pokes his head out of the door. Coughing, he says, “Guys, let’s go!” Everyone follows him out of the door. Noah shoves the medical paper he’d been reading into his pocket as he runs out the door. He turns the opposite way that they’d come in and goes face to face with flames. The old wood that the house had been made of quickly burning and approaching Noah. The group stands at the window they’d entered through and notices the ladder is gone. It’d been moved.

“Now what?” Noah asks. Larius laughs and shrugs, then proceeds by jumping out the window and rolling on contact with the ground, to avoid injuring himself. Andrew proceeds by doing the same thing. Emma, Noah and Brooke all three more hesitant and fragile. Andrew and Larius lock arms, Andrew nods at Emma who stands in front of the window. Emma hesitates but then jumps, she’s caught by Andrew and Larius. Brooke proceeds. Noah stands in front of the window. “I told you guys this was a bad idea…” Noah hesitates before after talking. He turns around to see the fire quickly burning in towards him. He shakes his head and dives out the window. Following him out the window is a burst of flame that would have engulfed him if he’d hesitated a second longer. When the burst of flame shoots out the window, the roof collapses into the house.

“We need to get out of here” Andrew says, Emma nods, agreeing, as all five run towards the car.

Noah stands at his murder board, but the angle faces him, not showing what’s on the murder board yet. He’s clearly connecting things together, trying to figure out who’s behind it. That’s when Emma and Brooke both walk in. “What do you got for us?” Emma says when they walk in. The murder board is shown as Brooke takes a few steps closer to it. There are things like Dr. Douglas’s ID connected to Brandon James, which is connected to the medical paper in a triangle form. Three people’s pictures are bigger than everything else on the board. Dr. Douglas, Larius Shore and a picture of Brandon James with a big red question mark on it.

Brooke puts her hand on Larius’s picture. “Larius?” She darts her eyes towards Noah. “What could he possibly have to do with anything?” She asks him in an angry voice, taking his picture of the board.

“Put that back up, Brooke. He said something super weird at Dr. Douglas’s house.” Noah shrugs, “I don’t trust him. He seems super shady.” He extends his hand, telling Brooke to give him back the picture of Larius. “Plus, I thought you didn’t like Larius, why do you care?”

“No! I don’t- he’s innocent. I just know it’s not him, if you want to accuse anyone it should be Stavo.” Noah’s eyebrows curl in confusion, knowing Stavo is Brooke’s boyfriend “You should have seen him the other day, he was totally cracked out.”

“Wait, you talked to Stavo recently? He’s been completely off the grid. I’ve been trying to contact him about our project.” Noah questions Brooke. “Why didn’t you tell anyone you saw him?”

“Like I said, he seemed completely out of it. I tried to forget about it.” She responds to Noah’s question, but the questions keep coming.

“Where did you see him?”

“At the James farm. It was super weird. Larius called me there because he said he had to talk to me about something and before he could tell me what he wanted to talk to me about. Neither of us said anything to Stavo and he was there with a Brandon James mask, saying that someone left him a pig heart telling him he could find his phone, that’s been missing for days, there. Then he got into a fight with Larius and right after he stormed away, his phone conveniently got a call from the killer talking about what they love about me.” Brooke rants on about all of the suspicious things that Stavo had done when she’d seen him at the James farm.

“Now, I understand that it seems fishy, but come on Brooke. It’s Stavo. Stavo is a good dude. Something tells me you’re being manipulated, and it all goes back to…” Noah stops talking and takes the picture of Larius out of Brooke’s hand and slaps it on the murder board again, in the same spot. “Larius. Think about it. What is one thing that could potentially factor into everything? Larius knew Stavo from before Stavo moved here. He pops up out of nowhere. He targets Stavo. People start dying again. He has clearly some issue with Stavo that hasn’t been addressed. Would whatever that issue be, be enough to go on a killing spree and frame Stavo for it?” Brooke puts her hand on her chin, like she’s thinking, Noah makes a good point, but she rolls her eyes, obviously not believing it. Brooke’s grown fond of Larius and away from Stavo recently.

Brooke storms out of the room, unwilling to listen to Noah’s reasoning and then it’s Emma questioning Noah, putting her finger towards Brandon James. “What’s this mean?” Noah’s eyebrows raise. The look he gets when he’s excited to explain something.

“Well, that’s a tidbit of information that I’d left out from everyone else. Something I kind of kept to myself. I talked to Eli and he knew something that nobody else knew. I don’t know how he knew it, but apparently the day Brandon James was shot at the dock… Maggie and Miguel, Stavo’s dad, rescued him from the water and took him to the woods. They assumed he’d died in the woods and honestly, so did I, when Eli first told me about it, but now that things are happening again... “ He hesitates before finishing, which allows Emma to have time to interrupt him.

“You might think he IS still alive.” The room grows dense, realizing the situation they might have in their hands. Noah nods, admitting that’s where he was going with it. “I- I- I don’t know what to say. He can’t be he was shot. He died in the woods, right?” Noah shrugs, before he can respond Emma grabs the medical paper off of the board. “Before we look into a theory, I think that we should look into something more official with more evidence. Like this.” Emma waves the paper in her hand. “Don’t you think we should look at this a little closer?”

Noah nods, agreeing with Emma. “I’m one step ahead of you. I did a little research, Dr. Douglas’s daughter lives in Lakewood. Apparently she went off the grid when the whole Brandon James incident occurred. Pulled out of school, cut everyone off. Super weird. With some research and very, very expensive softwares though, I tracked her and she agree’d to meet with me at Grindhouse Café tomorrow night. She said her Friday’s are busy, but she’s wide open on Saturdays. You can tag along, if you want.” Emma nods, agreeing to go along with him.

“Do you really think that Larius would do this all to get back at Stavo for something?” Emma asks him so that he’ll continue talking and she can get more information on the situation to try to figure out on her own who’s behind it.

“Let’s look at what he’s got against him, Emma. Larius shows up in town. People start dying. Nobody really knows much about him. He has some sort of shady past with Stavo. He invites Brooke to go to the James Farm… Alone! Come on, Em. That’s serial killer business. I think that Brooke is blinded by the fact that Larius ‘saved’ her from Stavo, when simple horror movie twist shows that he set it up so he could save her and gain her trust. Stavo’s been gone, Larius has stepped up. Brooke has been aimlessly scrambling for attention since Jake was killed-” Emma laughs cutting Noah off.

“Since before Jake was killed.” She makes humor of the dark situation, which is something she’s learned to do, especially by being friends with Noah for so long now. She wouldn’t have said that if she hadn’t gotten used to being hunted.

Noah rolls his eyes and chuckles too, “Okay, okay. Anyways! Brooke found attention she was seeking in Larius because Stavo hasn’t been giving it to her, so now she doesn’t want to give that attention up. In my eyes; Larius is the front runner. Over an alive Brandon James, over Dr. Douglas.” Emma nods, potentially agreeing.

“I still think we need to investigate Dr. Douglas today, something’s super shady about him. Why is he obsessed with Brandon James?” Emma puts her focus back on Dr. Douglas. While she’s talking about it, coincidentally, Noah’s phone dings. His eyes widen and he turns his phone screen towards Emma.

“This is going to difficult things…” The screen shows a news update of Dr. Douglas’s house burning down.

“A fatality? Who- how?” Emma questions Noah.

“If I had to take a guess, I think your killer is dead..” Noah responds.

“Is this the place?” Emma asks pulling her car up to a curb. The building beside the curb his a big apartment complex with cement brick walls and the basic, black, metal firescape. Noah nods to Emma’s question.

“This is where the address led us..” Noah responds to her, as he opens his passenger side door and gets out, eyeing up the big building, stepping towards it. Emma opens her driver side door and follows Noah out and through the building doors. He goes up to the check in desk and talks to the girl working. She’s a young girl, probably in her mid to late twenties. Her brown hair matches the color of her eyes. “Hi! I’m looking for ummm-” Noah swipes through his phone, looking for a name. “Denise Douglas.”

The girl working smiles and responds, “Room 212.” Noah nods, but she continues. “It should be one of the first doors on the left of the second floor if you use the elevator.” Noah nods again and continues into the elevator with Emma.

“Thank you!” he says to her, awkwardly, as the elevator closes. He clicks the button and the two ride up one floor. “This it?” he asks a rhetorical question, standing in front of the door that says 212. He hesitates and then knocks.

After waiting for a few seconds, a middle aged woman pops her head through the door. “Go away. I changed my mind.” She says, assumably talking about meeting with Noah, but before she can shut the door on his face he spots Emma. “Maggie’s daughter..” Emma nods.

“It’s Emma.” She says kindly. Denise opens her door up wide for the two to come in. “I’m so sorry to hear about your father, Ms. Douglas.”

Denise gives a light smile and puts her head down. “I’m still in mourning, but it was bound to happen eventually… I just didn’t expect it to be like this.” she hesitates for a moment then she changes the subject. “You look just like your mother, my dear.” Emma smiles and puts her head down. “Brandon loved her…” Those words instantly catch Emma off guard

“You knew Brandon James?” Emma asks her.

“Yes, I assumed you guys knew.. My dad was the doctor that worked with Brandon James. He’d went through many procedures with Brandon, trying to help him. The poor kid. He never lost hope. Neither did my dad. He became obsessed with helping Brandon. To the point that he went above and beyond what he was supposed to be studying with him. My father, bless his soul, started studying his behaviors and actions to see if the disease affects more than just his appearance. All of his studies came back fine. He never showed signs of hostility and when the whole incident happened, he yanked me from school. He had a breakdown. It crushed him as a professional. His obsession continued to grow after his death. He was obsessed with figuring out how his missed something, but his complete studies shifted from appearance focus to his internal being. Who he was, did he snap, did his condition affect his mental health, despite reports it didn’t? Things like that. He refused to leave the medical field despite his age because of this poor boy. He felt that he not only failed Brandon, but all the people that Brandon killed.” Denise continues while Noah and Emma listen contently. “Until his final days, I think he was still studying James.” Emma covers her mouth and Noah’s eyes wander around the room, a little too curiously.

“So do you think that this obsession that he had with Brandon… Do you think it was unhealthy? Do you think it affected his own mental health?” Noah clearly gets a little bit too nosey. It’s noticeable by the reaction that Denise has when he asks the question.

“What are you trying to ask me?” She says in a more angry tone. “Are you implying something?”

“I’m sorry, Ms. Douglas, but my friends are dying. Do you know anything that could help us figure out if they’re done dying now that your father has… passed.” This works Denise up, she jumps to her feet.

“I think you two have overstayed your welcome. You need to go.” She says, walking over to the door, opening it. The two begin walking through the door. Emma begins apologizing for Noah as she’s exiting, but she’s cut off by Denise. “Oh, and your mother? She loved Brandon almost as much as he loved her, she just wasn’t willing to leave your father for him. I’d be investigating her before you call me up to accuse my dead father as the person killing off your friends. Has she even checked up on you since this all started?” Emma puts her head down and Denise laughs, knowing that’s a no. “Typical Daisy.” she slams the door in Emma’s face, leaving her and Noah out in the hall alone.

“What the Hell, Noah!” Emma gives Noah a little bit of a shove and catches him off guard. “She was telling us everything.”

“What’d I do?!” Emma goes to continue yelling at him, but realizes that Noah genuinely doesn’t realize how what he said could have set her off, so she drops it, knowing he’s just about all that she has left. “We got a lot of information, though. Apparently Dr. Douglas was obsessed with Brandon James?” Emma nods.

“Yes, what I got out of it was the fact that Brandon James didn’t show any signs of being mentally impaired. So what? Did he just snap that night?” Emma asks Noah, someone who would know better than anyone, the psychology of a killer.

“That’s never been my theory. A killer doesn’t just snap. I don’t believe that. For somebody to have the heart of a killer, things have to build up for years. They have to show some signs of being a killer. The most famous killers had red flags, even the most quiet of them. Take Ted Bundy for an example, he was a serial killer with charisma. The way he approached people and the way he talked, you would have never guessed it. The only person who actually knew him though, his girlfriend, Liz, she knew right away when it was a possibility. People who spend a lot of time with someone. People who study someone. They’re the ones that would know if someone’s had built up anger pushing them to the point. Dr. Douglas would have known it, Emma. That’s the only thing that could have happened. Kevin roughed up Brandon and Brandon actually snapped, with no previous signs of having the ability to kill.” Noah explains. Emma thinks about what he’d said for a second but then goes on to explain what she thinks.

“Or Dr. Douglas missed something. Think about it, he was obsessed with finding out about what went wrong, he clearly thinks that SOMETHING he had believed was wrong. Is that enough to push someone over the edge themselves? Devoting your life to a project that has ultimately has a dead end? Maybe that’s what pushed Dr. Douglas to snap and kill Audrey and Kieran.” Emma expands, Noah nods, hearing it out, he thinks she’d potentially said something smart.

Emma’s phone buzzes, getting a text. She looks down. “My mom’s back in town..” Noah looks up with a confused look as the words leave her mouth.

“What? I thought she was supposed to be gone for another few days?” Emma shrugs when Noah responds to her.

“I just got a text from her saying she’s at the house.” Noah’s eyebrows raise, peaking his interest, especially after what Denise had said about her mom.

“We should go talk to her.” Noah says as Emma nods, agreeing. “Catch her up, ya’ know?” Emma once again agrees and the two exit the apartment complex together. After the two walk out, Denise is shown inside her room again. She has a scrapbook clearly full of pictures that she’s flipping through. As the scrapbook gets more visible, it’s clear that the pictures were of her next to Brandon James. Every page she flips, it shows them together with him wearing his mask. Possibly afraid to show his face. Afraid of how she might act if she’d seen him on the outside.

Denise continues to flip through the pages, a tear drops from her eye. She flips another page and hears a noise in the back of her house. She jumps up onto her feet at the fright and slams the scrapbook down on the table. She begins walking towards her kitchen, which is where the noise was heard. She slowly approaches the door that separates her room and the kitchen. Her face shows horror, fear of what could possibly be on the other side. “Brandon?” she says out loud. She very timidly reaches for the knob of the door and turns the handle. As slowly as she turned the handle, she opens the door, revealing the darkness behind it.

She takes a step inward towards the dark kitchen and flicks the light on. When the light flicks on, it reveals her fruit dish being smashed on the floor and a black cat on the countertop. She lets out a quiet laugh and walks over towards the cat and grabs a broom beside the counter and begins sweeping up the broken fruit dish. She then leans it back to where it was and pets the cat and begins talking to it. “You gave my a little fright, my dear.” she says still petting it, as she looks up at the microwave above the counter that the cat sits on and jumps as she sees a mask directly over her shoulder.

As Denise jumps from the sight of the mask, her shoulder is grabbed and a knife plummets into her spine. The person in the mask pulls her back furiously while thrusting the knife, allowing the two motions to get the knife as deep as possible and inflict the most damage as possible. Denise drops down to her knees in a screech with the butcher knife still hanging out of her and the masked person’s hand keeping the knife steady. They twist the knife inside of her, making the wound grow in size. She screeches again as this is done. Denise drops down onto her stomach as the person behind the mask lets go of the knife, allowing it to remain inside of her. She begins to crawl away, gasping at every breath possible.

That’s when the person in the mask opens up the oven and grabs her by her hair. They drag her over towards the oven by her hair, a stream of blood following everywhere she goes. They grab the shelves inside the over and pull them out, making room inside of it. They grab the knife and pull it out of her back and she yelps, as they shove Denise in her own oven, compacting her as well as they can. They shut the door of the oven and turn it on. They stand there and watch as Denise bakes alive.

“What are you doing back in town, Mom?” Emma asks. She stands in front of her mother, looking face to face with her. Noah stands behind her, seemingly backing up, but Noah’s interactions with Maggie are limited as her nerds out over her because of the Brandon James incident. Knowing that Maggie was ‘Daisy’ and the girl that drove Brandon James to kill, just makes Noah not want to shut up when he begins talking to her. “I thought you were going to be gone for over a week to figure out what you’re going to do with Dad back in town again.”

“I had to cut it short, Emma. Why didn’t you call and tell me that the murders were happening again? Audrey, Emma?! You didn’t think you should call and tell me about that?” Emma begins to tear up, knowing she’d shut out her mother since she’d left town. “I was called to make a call about a fire. A body found at some doctor’s old house. They have evidence to believe that the body found was dead prior to the fire. I also have to try to identify the body.”

“Dr. Douglas.” Emma says and Maggie’s eyes curl in confusion on how Emma knows the name. “He was the doctor that was supposed to be tending to Audrey when she was.. Killed.” Emma’s tears again begin to flair up.

“Do you know anything that could help me with this identification?” Maggie asks Emma.

“Yes! That body isn’t Dr. Douglas! He’s the one doing this- he’s got an obsession with Brandon James. He’s still on the loose, Mom! He was the doctor that did the operations on Brandon, trying to fix his.. Condition.” Emma goes into a panic.

“That’s impossible..” Maggie says, “Dr. Douglas has been dead for years…” Emma’s eyes grow wide, in disbelief and confusion. She swears that it was Dr. Douglas that was to be tending to Audrey. If this is true, somebody was pretending to be in relation to Dr. Douglas. Which means Emma was probably right, as wrong as she was; whoever is pretending to be Dr. Douglas is most likely the person who killed Audrey.
